Before you are two doors. One leads to certain death and the other leads to freedom, but you do not know which door is which.
There are two guards. One of them always tells the truth and one of them always tells a lie, but again you do not know which.
What question do you ask to find out the right door? You can only ask 1 question.

You say to either guard:
If I were to ask the other guard which is the door to freedom, which door would he say?

Whichever door they say, take the other one.

This is because if you ask the one who tells the truth, he will give you the lie from the other guard. You always get a lie.
